That’s really unfair!
You should really move out for a bit till he understands!
If he doesn’t, this is a serious issue and you should consider divorce.
If you’re trying to keep your life longer, then he should respect that.

you need to think of what your lungs look like and remember this when you light up. Think of the years that you could be taking off your life. Think of the last time you really tasted something. Look at your fingers and see the stains on them. Look at the cars windows and the crap on the inside. Wipe down a wall in the house with a wet paper towel,this is in your lungs as well. Take a deep breath and force as much air in your lungs as you can, it will feel like somebody is stepping on your chest. Look at your teeth and remember the wall,car windows,finger stains and what your lungs might look like.
Or the best thing you might want to try is go for a run and crawl home and then breath through a straw. This is what you have to look forward to if you smoke all your life and this is how you’ll spend your last days. You will not get enough air onto your lungs to do anything,the O2 will be needed to do anything,then sitting bed will be about it and finely you will start to past out because you can not get enough air into your lungs to function. So start breathing through the straw now and see if this is how you want to go.

Good luck and if the husband doesn’t care enough about himself thats his problem, but give yourself a chance to live longer and go out a REALLY smell the flowers.
The best thing to do is to spray a lot of aerisol, and use prescription nicotine patches.
Is there a power struggle going on here?
Are you just quitting to make him have to quit or are you quitting because you are concerned for your health? Hows the rest of your life style? Does it reflect that concern? Sounds like he just thinks youre full of it and he isnt going to put up with it seeing how he brings home the bacon.
Will power. If you truly want to quit it won’t matter that he’s doing that. On the other hand he should be supportive and take it outside.
Is there no compromising with him? Is he not willing to do at least that much to support your lifestyle change?
